Subject: RE: Instructions for Ultraguard 6000
I'm finally getting my testimonial to you. To start with, I am thrilled about Ultraguard; it is now a month since we closed the pool and the water level hasn't changed. Last year and the year before the water was nearly completely drained from the pool within the first month after closing it. Four years ago we had a pool company suggest a coating - National Paints (an epoxy paint finish). They charged me close to $7000.00 to apply two or three gallons of the product. It actually began to flake and chalk up almost immediately after water was added to the pool. Within two years, the fiberglass gelcoat cracked again leaving openings in the coating for water to leak through. The folks that did the work didn't do any prep work like what had to be done to apply ultraguard. Whether that had anything to do with the failure of the product is unknown but seeing both products and how Ultraguard sets up chemically, there is now comparison. Ultraguard is like putting down a chemical concrete. My pool is sealed and unless the surface lifts off from underground pressure, my pool won't leak. Your product is definitely worth the money. The labor aspect involved is quite intense, but as you have said, "the devil is in the prep" and I can't agree more. Anyone who has a fiberglass/gelcoat finished pool needs Ultraguard applied before the leaks start.
I've attached some pictures of the pool before, during the work process (20 and 21 are the pool surface after the surface was preped) and after completion. We decided on the sky blue cool which you recommended and could not be any happier. The pool looks fantastic, and it doesn't leak.
You have an outstanding product which nothing else on the market can stand against.
Very Respectfully,
Angelo Grandelli
After enduring a miserable 23 straight days of rain in June,
we were finally able to go ahead with the application process
the first weekend in July. The staff were very patient with
us during our installation. We called before every step and
they were always readily available or got back to us immediately.
With dry weather and the sound direction of the staff, the
application process was quick and seamless. After replacing
our deck and applying the Ultraguard 6000 (Medium Grey with
a darker grey stripe in place of tile), our pool area looks
brand new. This product looks and feels like it will stand
the test of time, we are excited about the prospects of a
maintenance free pool for the next 10 years.
Thanks for everything!

I am Very Happy with the performance and claims of your product and wanted to pass on the following to your customers.
First of all I would like to say I am a 13 year employee
of a major company in the coatings industry. I have a coatings
and compositions degree and understand more than the basics
in chemistry and application of paints. My company does not
make a pool coating probably due to the high potential for
failure (i.e.; liability).A pool Paint is subjected to a
more challengeing environment than say a deck or a garage
floor. The pool paint is exposed to harsh chemicals, a constant
barrage of UV light, and water. Couple these threats with
the fact that you are applying the paint to a substrate that
is constantly degrading in nature and you have a very challenging
environment that is not suitable for most, if any, paint.
Knowing all of this I was intrigued by their claim that the
Ultra Guard product is not a paint! And does not fail like
a paint! This led me to research your claims and to eventually
purchase and apply the Ultra Guard 6000. After many phone
calls we have completely 'rehabbed' our 30+ year
old pool with the full confidence that we will not be re
doing it for 10 or more years. The reason for the confidence
is based on my knowledge of pigments and binders, the basic
make up of Paint. The Ultra Guard 6000 is a 2 part industrial
High Build Epoxy. What this can be related to more so than
a paint is a "Glue" due to the high bond strength.
For this reason it is not going to breakdown in the fashion
of traditional paints. The staff were wonderful to work with
and for those people who have the desire to do things "right" and
do them "once", this is the product to choose.
I will give you an update ten years from now on the condition of my pool. (PHOTOS BELOW)
Thanks for all of your support and help.
Sincerely,
Matt Andrews

The staff were incredibly patient with us during our installation. We called before
practically every step and they were always available or called us back within 5 minutes.
Our pool has never looked better. We had three contractors look at our delapidated 30+
year old pool and told us they would not paint it. They all wanted $10,000 or more to
replaster it. We put the Ultraguard product on ourselves for around $1,500 including
product, tools and supplies. That's an $8,500 savings and it looks BETTER than a plaster
restoration. Our pool has color and looks brand new! Thank you guys for everything.
Our E-mail address is terpanther@triad.rr.com
Thanks for everything guys! We are going to fill it up on Friday.

We recently installed the ultraguard gray into our pool and we LOVE
it. I love it's smooth feel- sure beats that rough pebble tec!!! Here
are some photos of it with and without water. We were surprised how
blue the water looks with the pool full- but it is definitely different
looking than when it was just plaster. We are so thrilled and everyone
we know loves the color. Thank you for all your help and support during
the process.
Thank you,
Kent and Laurie Baker
This letter is to provide you with an update with respect
to completing my swimming pool restoration with “Sky Blue”
Ultra Guard 4500. To confirm, I followed the instructions and outline
regarding the steps involved, exactly and as a result, my swimming
pool looks gorgeous. I was fortunate not to have any rain for several
days, since Florida has been for some time now under drought alert.
The sky blue color we picked, is just incredibly beautiful.
Even more importantly, I believe these polymer coating materials appear
to be almost indestructible. It would appear to me, that I will not
have to worry about swimming pool resurfacing for many years to come.
My brother-in-law who helped through this feels the same way. He is
going to pursue the application of UltraGuard when he bids on pool
restorations. I am using less chemicals and need less brushing and
filtering as a direct consequence.
Finally, it has been a pleasure to speak with real people,
with real step by step support instead of computerized operators.
I am glad, I picked Ultra Guard as my swimming pool resurfacing method.
Best regards
Erhard Sommer

Thank you for being available everytime I called. Even on a Sunday
(Mother's Day). You were very helpful. The ultraguard went on very
well just as you explained. We are very happy with the results. Here
are some pictures of before and after. Everyone says how nice it looks.
We had a rubberbased paint on it for years and then last year they
came out with a primer that you could use over the rubberbased paint
and paint it with epoxy. Well that didn't work for anything. It blistered
and we had to sandblast the pool so we thought we would try your ultraguard.
It looks wonderful and we are very happy with the results.

Please find attached, pictures of your product applied
to my spa, per your request, for your perusal. I applied three coats
of 'Charcoal Gray' "Ultraguard 6000" over your primer. I
sanded the entire surface and then power washed it before starting
the epoxy application.
One unit of the Ultraguard 6000 was enough to coat my spa with three
coats and there is enough left over to add another coat. When I do
the pool, I'll probably add another coat to the spa. The toughest
part is the prep work and taping the tiles and nozzles and drains.
As you can see, the spa looks great. I'll be in touch when I'm ready
to do the pool.

I have enclosed before and after pictures of the installation of
your product. Ultra Guard was much easier to install than
it was to clean the eighty year old cistern located in South Texas
along the Mexican border. The Instructions were easy to follow and
I feel the product will last for years and year in the South Texas
harsh environment.

I’m pleased with the UltraGuard product and offer
this testimonial.
I’m a mechanical engineer and owner of a 40+ year
old hybrid pool (fiberglass sidewall with concrete basin). Since I’ve
owned this pool I’ve repaired leaks and re-painted it with chlorinated
rubber three times over the past 10 years. . I was nearly ready for
the backhoe. Thankfully we (wife, kids, and I) decided it was time
for the old pool finish to go. I won’t say that removing 40+
year old cracked and deteriorated fiberglass gel coat and dozens of
gallons of paint was an easy job, but after doing so I wasn’t
about to re-apply the same old products as were applied before man
walked on the moon. I knew there was a better way. After a lot of
research I decided to use the UltraGuard 6000 product. I received
samples of the product and found it to be highly chemically resistant
and durable. My initial concern was for maintaining the structural
integrity of the product over the fiberglass wall joints and cracks
within the concrete basin of my pool. It was your experience
with hybrid pool construction and UltraGuard’s approach for
glassing over these joints and cracks using the UltraGuard resin primer
with flexural enhancers, which convinced me that this approach was
the best solution for my pool. I believe the application of the UltraGuard
6000 product has resulted in a “better than new” pool
surface.

I wanted to thank you for selling a great product.
You were there to answer every question I had, even on the weekend.
You walked me through every step and gave me the confidence that
I was doing right. It was a long hard road, but I am very happy with
the final results. It took about 10 weeks from start to finish. I
believe my pool is 20-30 years old. It is made of concrete coated
with plaster then coated with a blue paint. The plaster was chipping
and popping off. The paint rubbed off in many spots and would chalk
when rubbed. The water line tile was replaced with glass tile. I
applied 1 very thick coat to the pool and 2 very thick coats to the
spa. I used 1 unit of bond coat and 4 units of Ultraguard 6000 Medium
Gray Color Coat to complete the project. I have attached several
pictures my journey.
